Nothing excites me more than discovering highly innovative, high impact Fintech startups I can put my energy behind. I am naturally curious about the problems they are trying to solve, understanding how they deliver the message and ultimately how I can bring value and transformation to the process. I come to you with a background in both finance and marketing. My last two positions have been marketing focused with products I believed in.

At TripRadius I developed the branding, the marketing roadmap and the go-to-market plan on how to get more eyeballs onto the product. I achieved these objectives by outlining what the relevant KPIs were and laid out a path for conversion. I developed industry specific user acquisition strategies, planned promotional pricing models and utilized proven digital marketing tactics to drive growth. I also developed the creative content that ultimately won over the hearts of users by producing a promotional video and a “Humans of New York” style social media campaign. In the end, I was able to grow our active user base by 43% while maintaining a 5 star experience from our users!

With KoreanTourGuide, the goal was to brand a one-of-a-kind service that was in line with the impact received when someone talks about Singapore Airlines or even a Swedish body massage. I put a lot of effort into training the tour guides for product consistency and organized many offline events to generate buzz. These events were also incognito in design to get data from our users to generate net promoter scores and conduct win/loss interviews. The engagements proved to be very helpful in building out the overall brand and we became the #1 listing on all search engine results (SERP).

Although I started my career on Wall Street, I always found myself gravitating towards the marketing sides of the business. For example, at Bradford & Marzec, I was originally hired to help manage a portfolio of fixed income securities for institutional clients. I really didn’t thrive in that position until I started helping out with the client presentations and owning the RFP process. You can see other examples of me moving from the analytical side to the client facing engagements as you continue to scroll through my resume. I believe this experience is going to be extremely helpful when it comes to working with Fintech products and conveying the capability to the different customer segments.

I am a positive and reliable team member and very adaptable when it comes to being a part of a new environment. I bring to the table a brazen level of maturity, a trust you can lean into and a dependable character that can only be formed by having your feet put to the fire. I have an aptitude to synthesize new information rather quickly which allows me to hit the ground running in any situation. I am really looking forward to having a conversation with you because I believe this is a unique relationship in which the both of us can greatly benefit from.

Also I should mention I have recently relocated back to the United States to be closer with my family. I would be happy to talk about this new transition with you as well as my skill sets, background and interests. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to talking with you soon!

Best regards,

Robert Koh
